This May brings to Edinburgh the European Rugby Challenge Cup and Champions Cup Final at Murrayfield Stadium. With a capacity of over 60,000, this venue and event brings a real buzz to the city, bringing in guests from all over to join in on the rugby excitement.

To keep you energised before and after both games, here at the Ghillie Dhu in our main bar, our kitchen will be prepped and our bar staff at the ready to provide you with your bevvy and grub for the day, to make sure you’re prepared for the celebrations ahead! So book a booth and come along!

On Saturday day evening, if you want to keep those rugby celebrations going, we’ve got our regular Burly Ceilidh Club taking place in our auditorium. From 7pm, grab a 3 course meal and join in the ceilidh fun for £30 per person, or if you just fancy a dance, it’ll be £5 on the door from 9:30pm!

The Murrayfield Stadium, is a fantastic 67,000 capacity stadium, located in the west end of Edinburgh, creating a central hub for sport and music. The stadium has been the home of Scottish rugby since 1925, with Scotland’s first game and win against England, 14 – 11.

And lest not forget the British Lions Tour kicking off on 03 June. As a special treat our main bar will be open from 8am every match day so you can catch all the action live on our big screens. With hot brekkie’s on offer and full kegs what better reason to get out of bed on a summer’s Saturday morning.

If rugby isn’t your thing, on 9th June, The Murrayfield Stadium will be hosting the one and only Robbie Williams – The Heavy Entertainment Show, UK Tour 2017. Start your night of fun by grabbing some food or drinks in our beautiful venue, providing you with the perfect pre gig celebrations.

Our breath taking auditorium, with is original church features, organ, high arched vaulted ceilings and beautiful chandeliers, help to make our venue an ideal location to hold any event. Every night within our main bar, we bring you some local Scottish talent, from acoustic music to covers and traditional Scottish folk.

From the comfort of one of our cosy booths sit back and be transported to the peaty highlands and the oaky lowland. Look no further than the Ghillie Dhu! Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End the Ghillie Dhu is perfect for week day get-togethers and weekend celebrations.

You might already know we serve homemade hearty food (to suit all dietary requirements and kitchens open until 10pm…FYI) and that we also boast an extensive choice of drinks until 3am, BUT did you know we host live music in the main bar every night of the week?

We ease your week in with some relaxing acoustic melodies from 10pm, Sunday through to Tuesday. Perfect for those much needed catch-ups with friends or a cosy date night in one of our booths.

Hump day left you feeling in a slump? Remedy those mid-week blues and soak up the Scottish atmosphere as we host traditional folk music from 7pm. Enjoy a wee dram with some of our favourite acts such as Sandy Tweedale, Steve J Ward and Adam Morris.

From Thursday to Saturday we kick it up a notch again with live music from Noval Barclay Duo, Danny & Steven, Mike Paterson Duo and many more.

On the last Thursday of every month we collaborate many of our acts from throughout the month for West End Jam. The perfect way to celebrate pay day!

All this live music got your toes tapping? Of course we couldn’t forget to mention our weekly Burly Ceilidh Club! Let your hair down, swing your partners and do-si-do your week day worries away in true Scottish style. Join the best bash Edinburgh has to offer, meet new friends and dance like nobody’s watching! Once our ceilidh has wound down, the night is still young as our in-house DJ keeps the party going until 3am.
